I’m getting married, so now our two credit scores are merged.
FICTION
Although getting married generally means that you’ll be combining finances, your credit reports won’t be combined. If you open joint accounts or if you add your spouse to an existing account, then the credit information will show up on both credit reports.
Keep in mind that if you are designated as an “authorized user” on your spouse’s credit card account (instead of a co-owner), this credit card account will not be used to calculate your credit score. Only joint accounts have an effect on your credit score.
I am a senior getting married. This was exactly the information I was looking for.
